London Calling
Trying to remember what I've done since my last blog. Been to the National Protrait Gallery and saw a whole bunch of boring old politicians and a few really cool royal portraits. It's amazing how your mind turns off after a few hours in a gallery or museum. Saturday went with Claire and Adam to the British Museum, their mummy collection beats Adelaide museum's by a mile! Of course that's to be expected since the British Museum was the cause of all the Egyptian stuff being removed from Egypt all those years ago! Oh yeah and we saw the Rosetta stone, although I mostly saw people's backs crowding around the Rosetta stone. Had lunch in cute little English cafe, went to Harrods and bought very very expensive couscous then found a really cool little crepe place near South Kensington station. Yesterday we walked from our house down Kensington High Street and through Kensington Gardens then had lunch in Hyde Park. It was funny seeing all the English people lying out on the grass soaking up every ray of sunshine on a 16 degree day. Went to The Swan (really really old pub) on Bayswater Road to have beers with Steve and Jeanette then walked home, Adam bought a painting on the way and went past Notting Hill. I hope everyone is well at home, post a comment if you haven't already!
