... so I lied

well i said nothing was really happening but didn't really think about it much - actually a lot is happening - none of it is super-great or exciting but it is happening. Thus far I've: *been to a fondue party *been to the movies *been to the "green devil" club to listen to Jet and Right Said Fred *been to the Baubar to listen to a moroccan band *watched two montreal DVD's *been to Starbucks ... a lot! (this is not a good thing) *attended three dinner parties *been to a Japanese/Quebecois language swapping party *been to a Kino Kabaret *bought tickets for five concerts *bought three CD's *been to an improvisation evening (think "Who's line is it anyway" but in french) *been for a bike ride to Old Montreal *been to the fruit markets *been to Billycun Pub (where someone stole an ostrich head and photographed it Amelie style before returning it) *sampled local beer - which is actually pretty nice (and I ain't much of a beer guy) *caught a lot of metro *walked even more *spent a lot of time talking to the Google language translator trying to learn french ... viola!
